Hi! I'm Jeroen. Yes, that's my pix! I'm gay and I'll be 15 on March 17, 1998.
This is St. Patrick's Day, the patron saint of Ireland.
Ireland is where I
have spent most of my life, since I was a baby. My mother died when I was born. I'm
not European by race and I'm not a Christian either. But I guess I think and behave
like any Irish kid.
I'm quite happy being gay and don't have any hang-ups
about it.
I recently moved away from Ireland because my dad was given a job
abroad. I miss my friends a lot, especially my best mate Tony. But I am happy in
my new home cause I have family here who are kind to me and I discovered that one
of my cousins is gay too and we get along real well.
My passion is swimming.
I've been a good swimmer as long as I can remember and used to go in for lots of
competitions and I hope I'll be able to here too. I started diving a few months ago
and get a real kick out of it. I spend 2-3 hours a day in the pool. One of my big
heroes is Gregg Louganis, the Olympic gold medalist.
I'm making a few friends
and so far haven't had a problem about being gay. If anyone doesn't know they're
going to guess pretty soon cause I don't keep it a secret (why should I?) and I'm
not exactly the most masculine of kids, if you get my drift.
Maybe you won't
be surprised to know I love fashion, especially anything outrageous and high-camp,
like in Pricilla Queen of the Desert! I'd like to be a designer someday.
I like to read books, one I really love is Lord of the Rings, but I like to read
almost anything. Especially horror, sci-fi, true mysteries and stuff like that.
I
watch TV a lot (too much my dad says) - Home Improvements, Third Rock from the Sun
and
stuff like that. I like movies too but even better when they feature Sean Connery
(The Rock), Harrison Ford (Airforce One) and George Clooney (Batman). I really go
for these guys...
Other stuff I like doing is mountain biking, but
there's no mountains near my new home so I can't do it very much now. Rollerblading
is a kick but just for fun, I can't do all those tricks and stuff.
As for
music, I don't listen to rock or pop much. I'm not crazy about music I guess but
quite like some new age stuff. For me to like anything it has to be a bit weird or
strange. I like all that unsolved mystery & UFO stuff, but I also like to know
about real space exploration and new inventions.
But, I can't live my life the way I want
to live it.
Why?
Because a bunch of people I don't know and who don't
know me and know nothing about me have decided how I should live and who I can see
and talk to.
I have been kicked off three Internet sites for expressing my
opinions, nothing rude, just how I feel about life.
I guess if I want my cyberhome
on line I have to learn to shut up and not say anything adults don't like...
Seems
like there's no freedom of speech on the web.
So now you know a whole lot about me.
